Arthrosis – natural treatment for your joints

Make joints fit and optimally mobile again with vital mushrooms

Osteoarthritis (joint wear and tear) is the term used to describe cartilage damage with bone damage in one or more joints. The disease begins with a small, so-called “cartilage damage” in the cartilage layer. This normally forms an elastic, protective cover over the ends of the bones and acts there as a “shock absorber”, so to speak, to ensure that sudden, hard movements are cushioned.

Only when the bone under the diseased cartilage is attacked in the further course of the disease is it referred to as the early stage of arthrosis. In the absence of treatment, this usually worsens gradually but continuously over many years. Sometimes swelling and painful inflammation of the joint also occur.

The friction causes the joint cartilage to dissolve more and more over time. Until finally, in the late stages of the disease, the exposed bones of the affected joint rub directly against each other. The once existing joint space (buffer or space between two bones) has then often completely disappeared. Movements of the joint are then only possible with great pain and in a very limited way. Osteoarthritis occurs particularly frequently in weight-bearing joints such as knees, hands or hips.

Causes

A very important factor in the development of osteoarthritis is an unbalanced diet low in vital substances, which permanently overacidifies the organism. If the body can no longer cope with the flood of acids and can no longer eliminate them, it has to store them. Besides the connective tissue and the blood vessels, the joints also serve as depots.

As a result, inflammation can occur in the joint, which in turn promotes the breakdown of the all-important articular cartilage. If the body also suffers from an undersupply of minerals, it cannot build up new cartilage and the risk of disease increases.

Other causes are, for example, age-related wear and tear, injuries or accidents, which can trigger the degeneration of the joint cartilage through the smallest tears. Persistent joint overload due to repetitive, uniform movements – for example at work – or too much pressure caused by excess weight also favour the disease.

Naturopathic therapy

In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), it is assumed that the joint cartilage only remains elastic and resistant if it is supplied with all the important nutrients by the body’s own “juices” – blood and lymph. If the nutrition supplied to the body is of inferior quality, an accumulation of harmful substances (slags) in the joints is promoted: Arthrosis can develop.

Medically effective medicinal mushrooms strengthen the joints, because medicinal mushrooms contain amino acids that are very important for our joints as well as anti-inflammatory substances. They have an alkaline effect on our often over-acidified organism. In addition, medicinal and vital mushrooms support the detoxification of the body in order to prevent the further storage of waste products in the joints.
